Meet Chad Doty

Chad is from small town Dayton, Ohio. He's just your basic guy that likes building cars. He was raised going to car shows and car meets. Both of his parents built cars, so it's

definitely in his blood. He's always had some odd builds. His current build is a 2016 Scion iM. Chad chose this car because he knew this would be different. There weren't too many of these cars made and Chad wanted to make sure it would stand out.

The Scion iM was only made for two production years, 2016 and 2017 and was only offered one trim package. The vehicle came stock with a 1.8L gasoline engine and made 127hp. Given its looks, you'd think this car was pretty fast, but given its 3,000 pound weight, it ended up not being very fast at all. But, Scion wanted it to appeal to the younger generation anyway, so they made it look at sporty as possible with he 17-inch rims, the 27 mpg city/36 mpg highway, and of course, the hatchback look.

Although this car was already pretty sporty, Chad thought he could make it look even better. He has put Flyyair struts with air lift performance 3P air management, 18-inch Amistad 3 piece wheels, full splitter kit, rear diffuser, DNA motoring fatback exhaust, DNA motoring fog light conversion, overseas 2016 Toyota Auris tail lights, carbon fiber

wrapped goodies, tinted windows, and a few other things you might not notice unless you get up close, but good luck with that. Oh, and did I mention that Chad likes to let his youngest pick out the next wrap color for his Scion?

Chad likes to go to car meets in Dayton. One he goes to often is Dayton Cars and Coffee

that usually starts meeting around the spring all the way through the fall. More info on this can be found at daytoncarsandcoffee.com. Chad also likes to take the car to Tennessee where he will usually enter it into a car show called Slammedenuff. I've been there myself, and seeing so many younger car enthusiasts is amazing.
